Painted on the silhouette of an Eagle Scout pin, this work questions the tension between masculine expectations and my own interests, which have largely leaned toward the feminine. By merging traditionally masculine ideals represented by being on a basketball court and playing in the woods with stereotypically feminine influences including whimsy, art, and home practices; I explore how these contrasting ideals mix together within me and illuminate my journey.
